Sandstone Supports

Sandstone Supports is a peer-to-peer support group designed to help people caring for loved ones who struggle with mental health issues. By communicating with others experiencing similar situations and circumstances, participants find a sense of community.

On the first Thursday of every month, caregivers (moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) meet to discuss the challenges of caring for someone who suffers from symptoms like…

  • Anxiousness
  • Sadness
  • Impulsivity
  • Aggressiveness
  • PTSD
  • Irritability
  • Nervousness
  • Inattentiveness
  • Racing thoughts
  • Social withdrawal
  • Insomnia

…and more!

Sandstone Supports provides a judgment-free forum to speak with others who “get it”.

SHARE. SUPPORT. STRENGTHEN. This is our motto.

Feel safe to SHARE with each other (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Feel safe to SUPPORT each other (by lending an ear, providing words of encouragement, and/or offering a technique/resource you have used in the past). Feel safe to STRENGTHEN each other by giving and receiving encouragement regarding the difficulties each one in the room faces daily.

In other words, we want to help you find your tribe.

Sandstone Supports meets on the first Thursday of every month from 11:30AM-1:00PM at The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce.
